Ian Cummings joined CWT Meetings & Events in 2012, bringing a wealth of business experience in driving strategy, business transformation and a growth mind-set within service industries. Ian’s passion for client service delivery, attendee and team engagement coupled with a focus on profitable growth has enabling him to hold a variety of successful executive positions throughout his career. Based in London, Ian is the Global Head of our meetings and events business and responsible for its development worldwide. Ian has been a key player in driving business transformation and positive outcomes with his teams, which has resulted in CWT M&E being recognised as a multi award winning agency across the globe including the C&IT “Global Agency of the Year” award for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.
Beau Ballin joined CWT Meetings & Events in 2016 and is perceived as an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in designing, delivering, and managing meeting solutions, incentive programs and virtual events. Based in the US, Beau is Global Market Leader for meetings & events and responsible for leading CWT’s strategic vision of business development, ensuring that innovative ideas meet client needs now and in the future. Beau’s work and client programs have received global recognition. He also plays an active role in industry round tables and advisory boards for several leading hotel chains and currently sits on the Digital Task Force for SITE the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence in addition to the Prevue Meetings & Incentives Editorial Advisory Board.
Kari Wendel has more than 25 years within strategic meetings management (SMM), and the overall meetings industry. She brings an exceptional amount of knowledge to her role as Global Head Customer & Operations. Based in Bradenton, Florida, Kari supports a group of tactical and operational leaders who identify and execute innovative approaches for ongoing improvement of clients’ programs. Furthermore, Kari plays a vital role within the consulting practice, with an emphasis on implementation and SMM. As shown by her nomination in 2009 as the chief “change-maker,” developing the industry’s first professional certification within strategic meetings and co-chairing the development of the “Maturity Model.”
Rachel is based in Scottsdale, AZ where she leads Global Process and Technology for CWT Meetings & Events. She joined CWT in 2008 as a Consultant focused on the development and optimization of business travel hotel programs. With her move to Meetings & Events, she gained experience in sourcing and contracting, vendor management, analytics and other consulting solutions. She was recognized for her accomplishments with the M&E Award of Excellence. Rachel has a SMM Certification via GBTA and is also a Certified Team Performance Practitioner from The Grove Consultants International in San Francisco. Most recently, she earned her MBA from the University of Arizona.
Nathan Brooks has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, previously managing teams within travel consulting and media, airline, and hotel relations, most recently with a significant online travel company. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, he leads CWT M&E’s supplier management teams globally and is responsible for strategies and optimizing supplier revenues across the organization. Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University and an MBA from Indiana University.
Fredrik Walles has over 15 years of experience with CWT and has held a wide variety of finance roles in the company including CFO for the Nordic region and Finance Business Partner for the EMEA and APAC regions before moving on to leading the Meetings and Events business in early 2021, based out of Stockholm Sweden. Fredrik has a wealth of experience in both accounting, financial systems and commercial finance roles.
Kirsty Marton is the HR leader of CWT Meetings & Events. She joined CWT in January 2020 providing HR leadership to 3 global functions, commercial and corporate, and has over 10 years’ experience in global Human Resources. Based in the UK, she studied Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management and spent time in the meetings industry before moving into HR.
