Chris Bowen is Senior VP, Managing Director, Meetings and Events and a core leadership team member of CWT’s Traveler Experience & Customer business unit.
He joined CWT in 2014 and has over 30 years’ experience in Global Travel, Consumer Electronics and Imaging, having held various international leadership roles at Sony and Eastman Kodak.
Based in the UK , he studied Business Management at the Open University.
Saskia Gentil joined CWT Meetings & Events bringing over 20 years’ involvement in meetings and events and the global travel industry. Based in Paris, she manages the global sales network and collaborates directly with the global marketing team, universally aligning all sales and marketing efforts. Her 360-degree view and attention to detail drive key business, as well as essential growth and overall productivity. Saskia’s education extends to a Bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality Management from Lausanne Hotel School and Master of Management in International Tourism & Hospitality from Oxford University. She also graduated from INSEAD with an Executive MBA.
Kari Wendel has more than 25 years within strategic meetings management (SMM), and the overall meetings industry. She brings an exceptional amount of knowledge to her role as Global Vice President of Strategic Customers. Based in Bradenton, Florida, Kari supports a group of tactical and operational leaders who identify and execute innovative approaches for ongoing improvement of clients’ programs. Furthermore, Kari plays a vital role within the consulting practice, with an emphasis on implementation and SMM. As shown by her nomination in 2009 as the chief “change-maker,” developing the industry’s first professional certification within strategic meetings and co-chairing the development of the “Maturity Model.”
Ian Cummings joined CWT Meetings & Events in 2012, bringing a wealth of experience into driving strategy, transformation, and growth within service industries. Ian’s passion for client service delivery coupled with profitable growth, enabling him to hold a variety of successful positions. Based in London, Ian is the Global Vice President of Commercial covering the meetings and events development worldwide. Ian has been a key player in driving business transformation and positive outcomes with his team, which has resulted in recognition of the C&IT “Global Agency of the Year” award for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019.
Cristina Scott has many years of experience in the travel industry, including both the buyer and supplier side, with a focus on operations, contracting, sales, and technology. Cristina’s specialty resides in driving transformational change within operations and implementing efficient global processes. She holds the position of Vice President of Global Operations with a drive to make progressive global improvements. Her creative thinking has allowed her to accumulate prestigious accomplishments over time, including creating the signature Corporate Responsibility Program to fight human trafficking at her previous employer and founding and leading a Montessori school in Texas, United States.
Nathan Brooks has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, previously managing teams within travel consulting and media, airline, and hotel relations, most recently with a significant online travel company. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, he leads CWT M&E’s supplier management teams globally and is responsible for strategies and optimizing supplier revenues across the organization. Nathan holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University and an MBA from Indiana University.
Fredrik Walles has over 15 years of experience with CWT and has held a wide variety of finance roles in the company including CFO for the Nordic region and Finance Business Partner for the EMEA and APAC regions before moving on to leading the Meetings and Events business in early 2021, based out of Stockholm Sweden. Fredrik has a wealth of experience in both accounting, financial systems and commercial finance roles.
Kirsty Marton is the HR leader of CWT Meetings & Events. She joined CWT in January 2020 providing HR leadership to 3 global functions, commercial and corporate, and has over 10 years’ experience in global Human Resources. Based in the UK, she studied Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management and spent time in the meetings industry before moving into HR.
